A) Alpha diversity indices, represented by the Shannon index, quantify the species richness and evenness within the microbiota from a designated number of individual samples. A higher index value indicates greater diversity within the sequenced microbial community. B) Principal Coordinates Analysis (PCoA) based on unweighted and weighted UniFrac, as well as Bray-Curtis distances, evaluates the similarity between microbiome samples from the two groups.
